| Wilhelm TUBBE wanderte 1852 zusammen mit seiner Schwester Charlotte TUBBE und ihrem Ehemann Friedrich (Fritz) JUNGE aus. Von Hamburg nahmen sie den Segler "Johanne Elise" nach New York, blieben eine zeitlang in Philadelphia und gingen dann nach Nacogdoches,Texas. Dort wirkte er als Landwirt und wurde auch "Doktor" genannt. Vermutlich wanderte Justina aus, nachdem sie einen Brief von ihm bekommen hatte. |

Wilhelm (William) TUBBE emigrated from Oderberg in 1852.
With him were his sister Charlotte TUBBE and her husband Fritz JUNGE. They
went by sailing ship "Johanne Elise" from Hamburg to New York, stayed some
time in Philadelphia, where daughter Fanny was born, and continued to
Nacogdoches, Texas. He became a farmer and was called "doctor". Probably it was he who encouraged Justina to join him. |
